New policies require input from us

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Uncategorized

I would like to thank Kate Dixon for chairing the London Network Overseas Visitors Managers Meeting. This was our second meeting and one in which Kate highlighted a number of points with regards to future policies and guidelines the Department of Health may or may not implement.

We are a dedicated group that understands the issues and challenges we, as overseas visiting managers, are to face in the coming months and years. To have such dedicated overseas visiting managers who are willing to meet the challenges we face head-on makes for a more constructive and inspiring experience for all.

The new policies and guidelines the Department wishes to implement require input from us, so as to make it a workable policy that encourages good practice among all our colleagues in the NHS. For this to work, we must have continued dialogue among ourselves as well as government bodies.

This meeting was to air our views on the proposed policies and to give our honest opinion on whether such policies and guidelines would benefit and encourage good practice or allow a disjointed service to continue unabated.

Please feel free to share your thoughts on what was discussed and how you feel the group can and should evolve in the future.
